Annie
Annie Sasseville, a registered dietitian (RD) and certified nutrition support dietitian (CNSD), served seven years in two top pediatric hospitals before turning to focus on preventive health issues for children and families. She is a writer and nutrition consultant to
Homemade Baby, and contributes to
Great Ideas for Kids, a Colorado parents' website. Annie is passionate about the fight against childhood obesity, and believes both health professionals and parents play critical roles in preventing it. She enjoys running and swimming in her free time, and works from home to spend most of her day with her two-year-old daughter.
Emily
Emily Lowe studied architecture and classics and currently teaches part-time in four different venues. She and her husband Rob, a landscape architect, have been trying to live more sustainably in the last several years: choosing reusable over disposable, growing and making more of their own food, and investing in the local economy. She began freelance writing while in college, and has kept it up intermittently ever since.
Janelle
Janelle is Senior Writer and Health Consultant for Healthy Child Healthy World, and also works with other organizations trying to make this world a better place. Simultaneously, she takes care of her sweet little girls, cooks, cleans, gardens, reads, bikes, hikes, crafts, laughs, speaks using silly voices and accents, drafts environmental policies, works on a Master's Degree, and tries to keep up with social media. Well, typically not all at the same time.
Jen S
Jen Smithson is a stay-at-home-sometimes mom living on a dirt road in the Baltimore-DC suburbs. She enjoys roaming around outside with Bean, her three year old, and C, her one year old, and blogging at her personal blog,
Rolling Through Looneyville. To her, if kids aren't covered in a solid layer of dirt by the end of the day, they didn't play hard enough. Besides hanging out with her family, her other interests include photography, cooking, and eating. Life is best with a little fresh air, a little wine, and a lot of food.
Jennifer
Jennifer L. F. McNichols is an
analog photographer who mourns the loss of Polaroid and prefers records to CDs but somehow got enmeshed in this digital blogging world. She is also a co-founder and editor of the ZRecs Network, and spends much of her free time photographing, researching for ZRecs, and playing with her supremely fabulous daughter, Z. If free time existed beyond those three things, Jennifer could be found teaching herself to sew, brewing beer and wine, traveling, and watching TV.
Jeremiah
Jeremiah McNichols has worked in print and web journalism, instructional design, and webdesign, and co-edits and publishes the blogs of the ZRecs Network. His most recent project is the launch of Bloggy Sabi, a matchmaking service for bloggers who review products and the PR reps who seek them out.
Mariah
Mariah is a freelance writer, editor and designer who has successfully lived through eight Alaskan winters. She can also play one song on the banjo.
Savannah
Savannah Mayfield is a
Certified Life Coach, Bodywork Therapist and freelance writer. She is passionate about inspiring parents to care for themselves and live from the wisdom of their hearts and writes an insightful blog for mamas at
Mindfully Mothering; she is also the editor of
mothersource.org, a resource site for families. When she is not coaching, leading workshops or writing, you can find Savannah playing in Portland, Oregon with her family! She is blessed to have a creative writer/photographer husband, a sweet white Lab, and two sons, one a busy toddler and the other an amazing teenager.
Tara
Tara is a stay-at-home mom in Las Vegas who goes gaga over anything to do with cloth toilet paper, composting or predator insects. She's been "living green" for many years but only recently began her trek into gardening. Her husband usually accompanies her on her eco-adventures and has a few of his own; his fave being homebrewing. Her 9 year old son lives and learns along with them, but tends to stay away from anything that might harbor insects. Tara also enjoys photography and learning to play her harmonica. She also blogs at http://theorganicsister.com
Terry
Terry is a retired marriage and family therapist. She has been married to the same man for 39 years and has three married adult children and five grandchildren. She currently spends a lot of time writing for several blogs, reading, traveling, working with computers, hanging out with her husband, and playing with her grandchildren.
Terry received her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Gottman Educator and facilitates Bringing Baby Home workshops in her home town. Terry looks at life from a systems theory and family of origin perspective. She blogs at Grace and Gravity and Are We There Yet, in addition to The Tranquil Parent.
