Test run: Teatulia Teas

Sit down for a cup tea with some Teatulia tea and you'll not only be indulging in some delicious tea, but also be supporting a company that stands behind its people and their country. Teatulia teas are grown in Bangladesh at the only USDA Certified Organic tea garden in the country. Not only do they strive to sustain and strengthen the environment that they work in, they also strive to do the same for the people in the community. Through a cooperative established by Teatulia, the workers, as well as those in the neighborhood have benefited from educational services, health programs, and a cattle-lending program. All sales contribute to this mission and because you are buying directly from the company, with no money lost to a middleman.

Teatulia tea bags are made from biodegradable silken pyramids, which come in compostable packaging. We tasted their black, green and white teas, all of which were refreshing and light. The flavors were much more subtle. For those who prefer a strong flavor, you would need to seep your tea bag for a much longer period of time than usual.

You can purchase these teas at the Teatulia website where you have your choice of tea bags or loose leaf. They also have a beautiful loose leaf sampler box of six different teas that would make a great gift to a tea-lover.
